Achievement Average
A mean scale score is the average performance of a group of students on the state assessment. 
What does this score mean?
These scores represents the average performance in English language arts (ELA), mathematics and science of students and provides information about overall academic achievement. This score complements the proficiency rate which measures student performance around one cut point. Achievement (Average Scale Score) was removed from the accountability system in the 2024 reporting year.
