Postsecondary Readiness Index
What pathways are students engaged in preparing for life beyond high school?
What does this score mean?
The Postsecondary Readiness indicator includes multiple pathways where students can participate and demonstrate readiness for life beyond high school. A student who participates in one or more of these opportunities will contribute in each area. The students who are reflected in this data are seniors from the 2022 - 2023 school year who were in Iowa public schools for the four years leading up to that year. Postsecondary readiness includes: 1) the percent of students earning college credit while in high school; 2) the percent of students participating in work-based learning while in high school; and 3) the percent of students earning an industry recognized credential while in high school (not available in 2024).
