Due to COVID-19, the eight-week spring 2020 ELPA21 summative testing window was cut short by two weeks meaning some districts did not get all of their scheduled testing in. What does this score mean?

Iowa uses annual administration of the Iowa ELPA21 assessment to determine how much progress English Learners are making toward English Language proficiency. This data shows the percentage of English Learners in third through 12th grade making progress across the different domain areas of the Iowa ELPA21: reading, writing, speaking and listening. This data helps inform the programming decisions for students.
